Insight Global is seeking a qualified Secret Naval Action Officer in support of one of our large federal clients at the Washington Navy Yard in DC. This candidate will provide critical program, logistics, and life‑cycle sustainment support to the Carriers Product Support Team. They will manage logistics documentation, support acquisition planning, develop executive‑level materials, analyze contract requirements, and coordinate with stakeholders, Ship’s Force personnel, and engineering teams to ensure effective life‑cycle management of Navy carrier systems. A qualified candidate will have extensive experience in Navy logistics and sustainment, strong AO background, excellent communication skills, and the technical ability to support complex acquisition and life‑cycle processes. There day-to-day will include and is not limited too:
- Support the PST Director as an Action Officer and coordinate actions across the Product Support Team.
- Provide SME support for PSM efforts affected by design‑driven logistics issues.
- Develop executive‑level briefs, white papers, memorandums, and program documentation.
- Manage schedules, metrics, and documentation for ILAs and Logistics Readiness Reviews.
- Review contract requirements to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve logistics processes.
- Support improvements in GFE/GFI management, SCN ILS budgets, and overall logistics procedures.
- Create and maintain key program documents including LCSP, SSMP, RMP, POM inputs, and tech readiness/risk assessments.
- Update acquisition logistics documentation (LCSP, Supply Support Plan, NTSP, MER, CM, Obsolescence, etc.).
- Track action items, assess risks, and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders and Ship’s Force.
- Conduct research and technical reviews across logistics products (CM, PTD, COSAL, SSR, maintenance systems, tech pubs, UID).
- Prepare status reports on logistics product availability/delivery and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide technical support for program reviews (ILSMTs, ILAs, LRRs) and ensure strong ILS oversight.
- Support development and implementation of shipboard integrated logistics data/information systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- BA/BS in communication, business, or related logistics field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in life‑cycle sustainment, project, or product management
- Minimum 3–5 years of Action Officer (AO) experience
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- former Navy experience (active duty, civilian, or contractor)
- Former Navy aircraft carrier experience
