Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Are you passionate about VM Management and DevOps? We're seeking a skilled professional to join our Network Tools Services team. In this role, you'll work collaboratively and independently to support customer requirements and our development team across multiple hosting platforms including OpenStack, AWS, and VMWare. This is your chance to dive deep into VM Management/DevOps while learning about our cutting-edge products.
Responsibilities:
- VM & Kubernetes Management: Monitor and manage production Linux VMs, both stand-alone and those integrated into Kubernetes clusters, ensuring they meet the latest security requirements.
- Ansible & Automation: Maintain and execute Ansible playbooks for configuration management and deployment tasks. Monitor Kubernetes clusters using Rancher or Kubernetes commands to ensure optimal performance.
- Security & Compliance: Manage the full server certificate lifecycle and ensure systems comply with current security and compliance standards (STIG/SSP). Perform software updates, patching, and system hardening.
- Apache NiFi Support: Support Apache NiFi deployments by performing configuration updates, monitoring data flows, and resolving connectivity or resource-related issues.
- Troubleshooting & Log Analysis: Analyze logs, troubleshoot performance issues, and identify root causes of VM, container, or application-level problems. Work directly with development teams and end users to deliver operational support.
Qualifications:
Required:
- An active NSA TS/SCI Polygraph.
- Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Troubleshooting VM & application logs and resolving issues.
- Strong Linux skills (RHEL 8/9 or CentOS 7).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher.
- Familiarity with Apache NiFi or similar data integration tools.
- Working knowledge of Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Hands-on experience managing VMs in OpenStack, VMware, or AWS.
- Ability to troubleshoot SSH, performance, and network-related issues in Linux environments.
- Experience applying security hardening (STIG, STE/STN) and maintaining compliance documentation (SSP).
- Active Security+ Certification.
Desired:
- Experience in application buildout and sustainment.
- Advanced Ansible automation experience.
- PKI/Certificate management experience.
- Exposure to AWS services (EC2, RDS, etc.).
- Understanding of NiFi architecture and data flow troubleshooting.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
