We have an immediate opportunity for an Senior Software Platform Engineer who is excited to apply their talents to our customer's challenging project and one who will thrive in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on expertise and an excellent understanding of engineering processes supporting large, National Defense, Agile software development programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a platform engineering contributor within an integration team at the customer site
- Support the integration and deployment of applications into containerized PaaS environments
- Design and implement deployment strategies across development, test, and operational systems
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting secure and repeatable application delivery
- Integrate development tools for:
- Artifact management
- Automated testing
- Code quality and security analysis
- Troubleshoot deployed applications and platform services; perform root-cause analysis
- Work closely with other engineers and integration team members to resolve technical issues
- Interface with customer stakeholders to support platform operations and application onboarding
- Contribute to platform documentation, standards, and best practices
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions
- Support continuous improvement, automation, and platform reliability efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a related role
- 3+ years of experience administering Linux systems
- 2+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- 2+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with artifact management and version control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed systems
- Ability to work 100% on-site at a customer location
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently while collaborating with a team
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD platforms
- Experience creating and maintaining Helm charts
- Experience with artifact repositories such as Artifactory
- Experience integrating systems in government or secure environments
- Familiarity with platform security and compliance considerations
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
- Previous experience in customer-facing technical roles
