We’re hiring a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support a mission-critical environment where performance, reliability, and security matter. This is a hands-on role for someone who can own Oracle operations end-to-end in a complex, distributed enterprise and keep systems running at the highest standard.
What you’ll do
Administer and sustain Oracle databases in a multi-platform environment (multiple Oracle homes)
Install, upgrade, patch, and tune Oracle DBMS for performance and stability
Build and maintain automation/monitoring (Perl + UNIX shell scripting)
Manage backup/restore operations (daily/weekly/archive integrity, restores, ad-hoc backups)
Partner with system administrators on configuration, storage/disk planning, and capacity management
Drive database architecture support: schema awareness, indexing, file organization, security procedures
Own operational DB tasks: recovery, rebuilding, configuration management, production support requests
Ensure hardening and compliance with applicable security standards (STIG-aligned processes)
MS/MA in CS, IT, Data Management (Preferred) Bachelors a minimum plus 10–16 years of relevant DBA experience
ITIL v4 Foundations certification (can get after you start)
Nice to have
Exposure to data science tools/methodologies in support of analytics-driven environments
