ABSC is seeking a part time, remote based, Facility Security officer to join our corporate team. This position has a remote based work location but may require occasional travel to U.S. based ABSC offices or performance locations. The position requires the individual to manage, administer, and coordinate the DOD or other industrial security program and other security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. The FSO will process and review personnel security clearances and maintain all security documentation, files and clearance and suitability roster in accordance with government requirements. They will have an understanding and experience of NISPOM and general security requirements for DOD and other federal agencies.
The Facility Security Officer (FSO) will provide comprehensive security support to multiple ABSC programs. The FSO must possess and have successfully demonstrated technical security competence, excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills, analytical skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to determine and implement the proper and effective security policy and procedures for the protection of classified efforts.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate expert understanding of industrial security programs, policies, practices, and standards. You will serve ABSC programs and cleared personnel with proactive and responsive support to maintain uncompromised security of ABSC programs and personnel clearances. You will perform as an anticipatory leader by maintaining timely and effective communication of all needs, risks, and actions regarding program and personnel security. You will provide key contributions to the companys overall security program success through your execution of high-performing program security operations. You will conduct and prepare for DSCA audits and interface with government personnel as needed.
As a part time ABSC employee you will work on average 20 hours per week and be eligible for all medical, retirement, and perks benefits. Holiday and PTO hours are not offered for part time roles at this time. This position is a W2 hourly paid tole.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manuals and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) as well as specific program requirements.
- Processing new hire security applications and CE investigations on new/current employees as required, to include SCI requests in support of various agencies.
- Using knowledge of the various security disciplines such as Physical Security, Personnel Security, Information System Security and Industrial Security to determine, apply, and monitor appropriate security requirements for assigned programs.
- Support the creation, processing, coordination, and approval of Program Security documents and entering such information into applicable databases.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage security support for classified activities
- Assist in the development, review, coordination, and execution of a wide range of Program Security documentation
- Actively support Program Security Reviews at performer locations and the Self-Inspection Programs, Perform OPSEC analysis and provide other OPSEC support
- Prepare, review and track DD254s; maintain security documentation as required.
- Manage and initiate personnel clearances and processing visit access requests (VARs) in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) as well as all other applicable access documentation as needed.
- Investigate, document and report security violations.
- Maintain all security documentation and files in accordance with DCSA and other agency requirements.
- Administering, executing, and ensuring adherence to the NISPOM, including company regulations, policy and, regarding the protection of sensitive unclassified/classified information.
- Provide day-to-day security support that includes continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and provide appropriate recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems.
- Assist in providing contractor and subordinate facility assistance and oversight.
- Brief all levels of personnel on a variety of security related topics.
- Serve as a member of the company Insider Threat Program.
- Maintain and update security policies and procedures as required.
Experience Required for this Role:
- 5+ Years' experience leading program security operations for programs and personnel cleared at TS/SCI levels
- Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) FSO certification for possessing facilities.
- Expert knowledge of using/applying US Government online programs such as the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Electronic Application (eApp), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), Army Centralized Contracts and Security (ACCS) Portal, and National Industrial Security System (NISS).
- Must possess a current TS/SCI clearance
