The LADS SBU is seeking a skilled and motivated Production Execution Chief Engineer (CE) for the Coyote Block 3 Plus (CB3+) program. In this position, you will oversee the technical production baseline and program technical execution for the CB3+ program. Reporting directly to the CB3+ Production Chief Engineer, you will engage with a multidisciplinary engineering team and play a critical role in the leadership of the program. You will be instrumental in shaping engineering on the Program, ensuring technical excellence, and driving innovation. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing costs, schedules, and execution activities, including Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews, proposal costing and leadership reviews, staffing projections, and monthly metrics tracking. This is an onsite position based in Tucson, AZ. The selected candidate will be assigned to the Land and Air Defense Systems strategic business unit.

What You Will Do
  • Perform as the Production Execution Chief Engineer who is the secondary production engineering leadership point of contact and is responsible for the engineering execution of an entire program, overseeing all technical, schedule, and financial aspects.
  • Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across all IPTs, CPTs, and disciplines within the Programs.
  • Manage all programs of engineering related activities across the Program. Direct management of the lead engineers to ensure that the overall system design is optimized to meet the required performance within the project constraints (cost and schedule), and production efforts are executed as planned.
  • Leverage product design engineering experience, with demonstrated ability to establish a strong technical baseline with disciplined change management, while operating in a rapid development environment.
  • Establish and guide the Digital Engineering / Model-Based strategy for the product / program.
  • Lead across a highly multi-disciplinary team, requiring experience across all design engineering disciplines, technical supplier management, business development, and program leadership.
  • Travel as needed to support Program / Customer (~10%). Travel as required to meet programmatic objectives.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, and execution for technical projects.
  • Experience in Loitering Munitions (LM) or similar systems design, use-case development, operational analysis, integration/test and/or system qualification.
  • Experience as a Lead Design Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, Integrated Product Team Lead, Cross Product Team lead, or other related Engineering Lead.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start.


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Advanced degree in STEM.
  • Design experience with the Loitering Munitions (LM), Loitering Effects (LE), or other LM/LE systems of similar complexity.
  • Experience in factory establishment, production experience, and ability to facilitate and coordinate activities across multiple facilities and locations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, other engineering disciplines and external customers / stakeholders.
  • Earned Value Certification.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
