The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Engineer (Level 3) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in cyber security, network technologies, and infrastructure support. This role requires a proactive problem solver with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network environments. The candidate must possess TS/SCI clearance and meet the stringent requirements outlined by the DoD Cyber Security Workforce Improvement Program (DoD 8570.01-M).
Responsibilities:
Network Security: Design, develop, integrate, implement, operate, and analyze cyber security technologies across LAN/WAN environments.
CND Expertise: Provide concentrated experience in Computer Network Defense (CND) including incident management, threat analysis, and remediation.
Technology Implementation: Install, network, configure, integrate, administer, maintain, and perform RMF functions on new cybersecurity technologies, including Zero Trust and Cloud resources (AWS, Azure).
Intrusion Detection/Prevention: Engineer, test, configure, tune, administer, and operate Network Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (NIDPS) and host-based intrusion detection/prevention solutions.
Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage remediation using tools like BeyondTrust Retina and Tenable Nessus (ACAS).
SIEM Systems: Administer and operate Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems such as Splunk and Elastic.
Forensics and Penetration Testing: Perform forensic processes for data collection and analysis, and conduct penetration testing/Red Teaming activities.
Documentation: Write technical documents, "best practices," manuals, and standard operating procedures in accordance with Federal, DoD, IC, and industry standards.
SDLC Process: Participate in the System/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Process.
Emerging Technologies: Identify and research emerging technologies, assessing their technical and performance characteristics.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical issues in business terms to all levels of management, mission stakeholders, and customers.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Qualifications:
Required:
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance, or a related field desired; Master's preferred.
- Without a degree, 15+ years of relevant professional experience is required.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of professional experience with LAN/WAN technologies, networking protocols, file systems, ports, services, and commands (Windows and Unix/Linux).
- 8+ years of concentrated experience in the CND discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in the design, development, integration, implementation, operation, and analysis of cyber security technologies.
- Skills:
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, time management, writing/documentation, and briefing skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, mission stakeholders, and customers.
- Proven ability to think outside the box by providing innovative, creative solutions to complex cyber security issues.
- Proven ability to prioritize, execute, and complete tasks with little to no direction in a high-pressure environment.
- Significant experience utilizing Federal, DoD, IC, and industry standards.
- Significant experience in the SDLC Process.
- Significant experience in identifying and conducting research in emerging technologies.
- Significant experience in writing technical documents addressing complex, sensitive issues.
- Significant experience in the development and implementation of CND tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
