Command and Control Switching Systems/Defense Red Switch Network

The Garrett Group (TGG) is seeking Command and Control Switching Systems (CCSS)/(Defense Red Switch Network - DRSN) Technicians to support US STRATCOM at Offutt AFB, NE. CCSS/DRSN Technicians shall possess at least 10 years' experience providing 24/7 support of Organizational-Level Maintenance (O/M) for installed Raytheon Defense Small Switch (DSS-2A) secure and non-Secure Command and Control Switching Systems (CCSS), peripherals, and associated equipment.

Period of Performance: Future work starting Spring 2026

Specific Responsibilities: As a Command and Control Switching Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Raytheon Defense Small Switch (DSS-2A) secure and non-Secure Command and Control Switching Systems (CCSS) for military clients. You will work with various CCSS systems to provide critical communication services for command and control functions. You will also be responsible for testing and troubleshooting equipment, analyzing data, and providing solutions to any system issues that arise.

Additional duties include:

• Install and configure Raytheon Defense Small Switch (DSS-2A) secure and non-Secure Command and Control Switching Systems (CCSS) equipment.
• Set up secure and non-secure voice and data communication systems, including VoIP and PBX systems.
• Maintain and repair CCSS equipment, such as switches, routers, modems, and other networking devices.
• Monitor and analyze CCSS system performance, identifying and resolving issues as needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to design and implement new CCSS systems and upgrades.
• Document and maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment inventory.
• Respond to client service requests in a timely and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
• Adhere to safety regulations and best practices when working with CCSS equipment and networks.

Required Certifications and Experience:

• O&M Certified Technician for the Red Switch Network
• CompTIA A+ certificate
• CompTIA Security+ certificate
• 10-20 years of experience with providing 24/7 support of Organizational-Level Maintenance (O/M) for installed Raytheon Defense Small Switch (DSS-2A) secure and non-Secure Command and Control Switching Systems (CCSS), peripherals, and associated equipment
• Experience installing and configuring VoIP telephones and PC workstations.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving end-user problems with software and hardware related issues on NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS networks.
• Knowledge of COMSEC standards and equipment addressing safeguarding COMSEC material, Two-Person Integrity (TPI), use of cryptographic devices
• Capability of fulfilling COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) and Secure Voice Responsible Officer (SVRO) duties
