Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SA) is currently seeking a Senior Operations and Planning Analyst to join our team supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA), a U.S. Space Force agency recognized as the DoD's constructive disruptor of space acquisition, delivering needed space-based capabilities to the joint Warfighter. The Senior Wargames and Exercises Analyst will serve as a liaison facilitating the transition of Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) capabilities and supporting SDA integration efforts with Joint Force operations.
SALARY RANGE: Salary: $121,239 to $186,465 annually.
LOCATION: On-site work with our government clients in Colorado Springs, CO is required (Peterson or Schriever SFB).
TRAVEL: Travel will be required, approximately 10-15% of duty schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support planning and management of program transitions and operational integration, to include systems analysis and broad understanding of national security issues.
•Possess knowledge and experience in Combatant Command (CCMD) or Major Command (MAJCOM) training, operations, intelligence and planning activities.
•Experience in organizations that use non-standard acquisition processes (e.g., outside the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processes) is desired.
•Effective candidates must have the ability to prioritize critical tasks rapidly and correctly with minimal supervision.
•Experience serving in operations centers in a Joint capacity is preferred.
•Conduct warfighter integration activities (operational briefings, training orientation sessions, etc.) supporting the deployment and warfighter adoption of capabilities resident in the SDA's PWSA, such as data transport, space-based Link 16, and missile warning/missile tracking data.
•Provide technical expertise in PWSA capabilities, limitations, to include deployment timelines and procedures under early release procedures
•Coordinate with other SDA offices and programs for required support to exercises and wargames, ensuring team is working towards mutually supportive goals.
•Work collaboratively as a member of a team of analysts, M&S experts, warfighters, and technical support personnel to enable the warfighter to fully exploit PWSA capabilities as they are tested and accepted by the joint community.
•Use operational experience, analytical skills, and technical expertise to create, present, and document successes and shortfalls within PWSA test and deployment activities. Support ground system planning, operational test and evaluation activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Clearance: An active TS/SCI is required.
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. A master's degree is preferred.
Required Experience/Skills:
•Minimum fifteen (15) years of recent and relevant experience in DoD acquisitions or operations, exercises, training, planning and related activities.
•Established record demonstrating an ability to work largely unsupervised, an ability to interact appropriately with all levels of the staff, from Action Officers to executive leaders, strong briefing skills for executive-level audiences, and proven ability to follow-through on all tasks.
Highly Desired Experience/Skills:
•Experience in Operations Centers in Joint capacity (Joint Intelligence/Operations Centers, Air Operations Centers, Maritime Operations Centers, Army Engagement Centers); non-standard acquisition processes (SpRCO, MDA, SCO - outside JCIDS); NORTHCOM core missions (Missile Warning/Defense, Homeland Defense, Maritime Awareness, Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA).
•Knowledge of NORAD-USNORTHCOM space operations and organizational relationships.
•Familiarity with US Space Command - NORAD-USNORTHCOM relationship.
