Position Title: Sr. Director, Market Sector Lead – Integrated Security Solutions
Reports To: SVP, Operating Unit Lead (Integrated Security Solutions)
Location: The position will primarily work remotely.
Compensation: Expected Salary Range is $200,000/year - $230,000/year

The Sr. Director, Market Sector Lead – Integrated Security Solutions will serve as the senior growth leader responsible for shaping and expanding Versar’s federal and enterprise integrated security systems solutions and portfolio. This role combines capture leadership, customer intimacy, and industry expertise to position Versar as a trusted partner for high-value government electronic security system programs. The Market Sector Lead will drive opportunity identification, qualification, and capture execution; build enduring relationships with customers and partners; and provide subject matter expertise across electronic security systems, physical access control systems, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, perimeter protection, and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
• Must be a clearable U.S. Citizen willing to sit for a DoD TS/SCI
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Security Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in complex integrated electronic security solutions (physical access control system, video surveillance system, intrusion detection system, perimeter protection in an enterprise solution that meets FIPS-201, FICAM, HSPD-12 compliance)
• Proven track record in the federal GovCon security sector, with direct experience supporting customers such as USACE, NAVFAC, TSA, FEMA, DOT, DHS, DOE, FAA, USMS, DoD installations, and other federal security programs.
• Demonstrated success leading and winning large-scale capture efforts ($25M+ contract value), including strategy, customer shaping, and proposal leadership.
• Experience collaborating across delivery teams and operating units (e.g., operations, engineering, proposal development and business development) to identify growth opportunities, expand scope, and strengthen client relationships.
• Strong background in partner and OEM ecosystems (e.g., Johnson Controls -C•CURE 9000, Honeywell - LenelS2, Identiv, Hirsch -Velocity, Genetec -Security Center , Milestone Systems - XProtect, Axis, Bosch, Pelco, Hanwha, Cisco, Siemens and other leading technology providers).
• Established network with government program managers, contracting officers, and integrators, with the ability to cultivate trust-based relationships that drive pipeline growth.
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer mission needs into technical and programmatic solutions that win in competitive environments.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive engagement skills with the ability to represent the OU and company at high-profile industry forums.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Industry certifications such as Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), underscoring credibility in the security field.
• Prior P&L or regional leadership experience, with accountability for sales, revenue, and delivery outcomes across multi-state or multi-agency portfolios.
• Familiarity with federal procurement vehicles (e.g., OASIS, GSA Schedules, IDIQs, GWACs) and how to strategically position security offerings within them.
• Capture management certification (Shipley, APMP) or advanced business degree (MBA, MS).
• Salesforce advanced user.
Responsibilities:
Business Development & Capture Leadership
• Lead capture strategy for major federal integrated security opportunities across DoD, DHS, DOE, FAA, TSA, and other federal agencies.
• Own the full capture lifecycle: opportunity identification, qualification, teaming strategy, win themes, pricing inputs, and proposal leadership.
• Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned to Organizational Unit (OU) and corporate growth targets.
• Partner with internal operations, solutions architects, and proposal staff to build competitive, compliant, and winning bids.
Customer & Partner Engagement
• Serve as primary relationship owner for senior government security stakeholders, contracting officers, and program managers.
• Build and sustain trusted partnerships with OEMs, integrators, and strategic primes to expand teaming opportunities.
• Represent client at security industry events (ASIS GSX, ISC West, ISC East, etc.), acting as a visible thought leader and brand ambassador.
• Translate customer mission requirements into actionable capture strategies and solution offerings.
Market Leadership & Strategy
• Acts as subject matter expert in complex, integrated electronic security solutions for federal customers including physical access control systems (PACs), intrusion detection systems (IDS), video surveillance systems, perimeter protection, security communication systems, and AI-enabled platforms.
• Monitors, assesses and tracks market dynamics: funding trends, procurement vehicles, competitor strategies, and customer priorities.
• Provides executive-level insights to OU and corporate leadership, shaping account strategies and investment decisions.
• Contributes to white papers, market intelligence briefs, and customer roadmaps to enhance client’s positioning.
• Responds to sources sought notices, authors vendor specific capability statements and maintains a repository of updated ISS team member resumes.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Mentor junior capture and BD staff, elevating team knowledge and effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of collaboration across Growth, Operations, and functional teams.
• Ensure adherence to client’s capture management process and reporting standards.
• Support overall OU revenue and pipeline commitments as part of the corporate growth plan.
