CACI seeks a detail-oriented Public Health Analyst with superior interpersonal, organizational and communications skills to provide support to CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). The Public Health Analyst will provide assistance to the NHSN Operations team and program stakeholders by addressing Tier 2/3 level questions.

Responsibilities include:

Data Use Agreements (DUAs) & Data Governance Support
  • Provide operational support for the development, coordination, tracking, and maintenance of Data Use Agreements (DUAs) between NHSN and state, local, territorial, and tribal health departments.
  • Assist with reviewing DUA requests for completeness and alignment with NHSN data access policies.
  • Coordinate DUA-related activities with CDC program staff as directed by government leads.
  • Maintain detailed tracking of DUA status, renewals, amendments, and approvals using designated tracking tools and documentation systems.
  • Support resolution of DUA-related issues by identifying discrepancies, missing information, or process gaps and elevating issues as appropriate.


Tier 2/3 Help Desk & Operational Issue Support
  • Respond to Tier 2 help desk tickets related to NHSN Operations
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to: Health department data access and permissions; DUA coverage and data use restrictions; NHSN reporting workflows and operational processes
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 support staff to ensure appropriate triage, documentation, and escalation of issues.
  • Document issue resolution steps, decisions, and outcomes to support knowledge sharing and future reference.


NHSN Operations & Program Support
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the NHSN Operations team, ensuring consistent execution of established processes.
  • Participate in meetings, working groups, and project activities as directed to support NHSN Operations priorities.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational guidance.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles, job aids, and internal reference materials to support consistent handling of operational and help desk issues.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with state and local health department partners regarding operational issues, data access questions, and DUA-related processes.
  • Support preparation of briefings, status updates, and reports related to operational activities and issue resolution.
  • Track and analyze operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce partner burden, and improve service quality.
  • Support implementation of approved operational improvements and workflow updates.
  • Support projects related to NHSN operational efficiency, data governance, or partner experience as assigned.
  • Ensure all work products are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable data security and confidentiality requirements.


Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent is required in public health, public policy, business or 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience working in a public health or healthcare setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Highly organized with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Proactive identifies and solves problems
  • Able to plan and organize work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
