Systems Engineer
Program Description:
As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape USSTRATCOM's mission by working on the Joint Integrated Missile Defense/Missile Warning Training System (JIMDTS). Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop this system but also evolve it with advanced technology solutions. Day to Day Responsibilities:
Installs, configures, tests and performs routine maintenance on operating systems
Uses software and system management tools to the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Maintain server hardware and software
Maintains system security and executes common practices and procedures
Troubleshoots system related problems
Develops and maintains new and existing systems
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in technical field
5+ years of experience in Windows engineering
5+ years of experience in Linux engineering
2+ years of experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including VMWare, Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, HPE, or Juniper
Experience with PKI, UEBA, or User and Entity Behavior Analytics, such as Splunk User Behavior Analytics
Experience with Trellix or Microsoft Defender Suite (MDS)
Experience with Splunk setup, configuration, and maintenance
Experience with Networking with micro-segmentation
Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) solutions
Experience with VMware, such as vSphere, vCenter, Horizon, or NSX
