We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead and support the implementation, enforcement, and maintenance of robust information systems security across complex environments. This role is critical to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Evaluate and validate security solutions for processing diverse types of information.
• Support configuration management of security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and apply best practices for incident detection, reporting, and remediation.
• Maintain detailed records of system upgrades and configurations (e.g., servers, routers, firewalls).
• Ensure operational security posture is maintained across all systems.
• Collaborate with the ISSM to uphold the appropriate IA posture for systems and enclaves.
• Develop and maintain Certification & Accreditation documentation per applicable policies.
• Create and update System Security Plans (SSPs) and other IA documentation.
• Manage Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), including scans, patching, and remediation.
• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
• Develop and enforce system security policies and ensure compliance.

Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of ISSO experience in secure system operations across isolated, connected, and standalone environments.
• TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Poly
• At least 5 years of experience with IAVA management tools.
• At least 5 years of experience preparing and managing SSPs and related security documentation.
• Proven expertise in:
• Security tools and technologies
• Hardware/software security implementation
• Communication protocols
• Encryption techniques and tools
• Strong background in security evaluations of software systems and architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce security policies and standards on large IT programs.
• Experience in daily security operations of complex information systems.
• High level of initiative, problem-solving skills, and team collaboration.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in ISSO roles supporting large-scale software development and integration programs.
