Minimum Requirements:
2+ years of experience performing ISSO duties in a federal or government contractor environment.
Proven experience developing security authorization packages and conducting security control assessments per NIST 800-53A.
Familiarity with POA&M management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance reporting.
Experience implementing NIST Rev5 requirements and documenting on on-premises, containerized solutions.
Strong knowledge of FISMA, NIST 800-53 control catalog, and federal cybersecurity policies.
Ability to collaborate effectively with system administrators, auditors, and client stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree and Security+ or CISSP certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain security authorization packages and compliance documentation.
Perform security control assessments and ensure alignment with NIST and federal standards.
Manage POA&Ms, track remediation efforts, and report compliance status.
Support vulnerability management and STIG scan reviews.
Interface with technical teams and auditors to ensure security posture is maintained.
Prepare written reports, briefing materials, and presentations for stakeholders.
Skills and Proficiencies:
Strong understanding of RMF processes, NIST frameworks, and federal cybersecurity requirements.
Hands-on experience with security documentation, audits, and compliance tracking.
Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services (preferred).
Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Ability to work in structured, compliance-driven environments.
Additional Information:
Preferred experience in DoD or federal environments and managing STIG scan results.
