Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
We are looking for an Systems Engineer with a minimum of eleven (11) years' experience, a Bachelor's or Master's Degrees are preferred and have a background utilizing the following:
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch and CloudTrail
- Ability to manage and maintain AWS Cloud infrastructure, including resource provisioning, monitoring and cost optimization
- Proficient in Python programming language (version 3.9 or later)
- Ability to write Python scripts to automate tasks, such as data processing, file management and system administration
- Familiarity with popular Python libraries, such as Boto3 (AWS SDK for Python), requests and Django
- Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible, Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Ability to translate deployment practices into automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash scripts and/or other automation tools
- Familiarity with Version Control systems such as Git and specifically, GitHub
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus and CloudWatch
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Operations and Security teams
- Knowledge of Agency governance and compliance practices as they relate to AWS and other Cloud environments to include Government best practices and Government Enterprise services, processes and procedures
- Architect background; ability to advise customer management on technical conversations within the team to support customer tools and operations; be the team technical rep. at technical meetings
