We're looking for a Systems Engineer (Expert) will provide advanced technical, analytical, and strategic support to a Cyber Intelligence mission customer. This position supports Sponsor-led development efforts, ensuring mission integrity through rigorously defined requirements, risk analysis, technology forecasting, and assessment of emerging capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop well-documented, actionable, measurable, and traceable requirements to support Sponsor engineering and development activities.
- Apply critical thinking to analyze Sponsor programs and identify technical risks impacting capability delivery.
- Develop Concept of Operations (CONOPS) diagrams utilizing industry best practices and direct stakeholder engagement.
- Forecast technologies, products, and trends relevant to advancing mission objectives.
- Provide independent technical assessments and recommend improvements on functionality, risk posture, and design.
- Evaluate vendor-provided design documentation for compliance with mission and technical requirements.
- Build comprehensive project plans enabling transitions from research concepts to deployed mission-ready capabilities.
- Collaborate with Sponsor test teams to develop ad-hoc test cases and validate technical performance.
- Work with targeting and technical operators to identify opportunities enabling access, exfiltration, collection, and other specialized technical operations.
- Bachelor's degree OR 10+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Demonstrated success in:
- Requirements engineering and documentation
- Technical risk analysis and assessment
- CONOPS development with stakeholder engagement
- Technology forecasting and mission-aligned research
- Independent technical assessments and design reviews
- Vendor documentation analysis
