The Opportunity:
Deploy your expertise overseas and lead advanced network operations at U.S. Air Force bases across the Indo-Pacific. As a Senior Network Operations Engineer, you'll maintain secure, high-availability network enclaves, provide hands-on troubleshooting and break/fix support, and contribute to the planning and configuration of data center and edge network services. You'll also guide junior engineers, perform protocol and traffic flow analysis, and ensure mission continuity by adapting emerging technologies in forward-deployed environments with direct operational impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Network Maintenance & Troubleshooting: As a multi-disciplined network engineer, you'll maintain and fix legacy wired solutions in response to network faults, errors, incidents, and problems. Provide touch labor for all network devices.
  • Monitoring & Supervision: Oversee the monitoring of network assets per SLAs and supervise break/fix and maintenance activities.
  • Network Enclave Management: Ensure the maintenance of multiple network enclaves, primarily consisting of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, with support for other vendor products.
  • Adaptation to Emerging Technologies: Have a fundamental understanding of network engineering concepts and adapt to emerging technologies as they are introduced to the environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess extensive experience and technical knowledge of both Enterprise and Data Center networks, in addition to network security technologies.
  • Protocol & Traffic Analysis: Experienced working with DMVPN technologies, EIGRP, BGP, and emerging data center architectures. Troubleshoot complex problems to closure.
  • Site Surveys & Configuration: Perform site surveys, configuration and engineering, installation planning, and documentation services for the customer as they relate to all network services.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and succinctly, both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.


Qualifications:
  • Required:
    • An active DoD Secret clearance.
    • Degree: Technical BA/BS degree
    • Experience: 7 years with a bachelor's degree
    • High School diploma or associate degree with a minimum of 10 years performing as a Network Engineer supporting large, complex networks in a Network Operations Center environment.
    • DoD 8570 IAT III Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC or equivalent).
    • CCNP, CCDP, or equivalent.


  • Desired:
    • Experience with DoD IT security requirements; experience supporting DoD projects, specifically network modernization projects.
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
    • ITIL v3 or ITSM experience.
    • CCNA.
    • Juniper.
