Required Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of executive administrative assistant experience, including three (3) or more years directly supporting senior Department of Defense leadership at the DASD, ASD, or USD level (Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 SES), or equivalent executive-level leadership within other federal agencies.
Extensive experience operating in the Pentagon environment, providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to senior executives engaged in high-visibility, time-sensitive decision-making.
Demonstrated mastery of SES-level calendar and schedule management, including coordination of competing priorities, senior-leader engagements, and last-minute changes driven by operational and policy requirements.
Proven expertise in DTS travel coordination, executive correspondence, and document review and preparation, including the development and management of read-ahead books, briefing packages, and senior-leader materials.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally on behalf of senior leaders.
High degree of discretion, judgment, and attention to detail, with experience handling sensitive, pre-decisional, and time-critical information.
Strong ability to anticipate SES leadership needs, operate independently, and proactively resolve administrative and operational issues before they escalate.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize rapidly shifting requirements and maintain composure and effectiveness in a fast-paced, mission-critical Pentagon environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, supporting executive workflow, coordination, and reporting requirements.
Proven team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Pentagon staff, flag officers, SES peers, interagency partners, and industry executives.
High energy, professionalism, tact, and confidence when interacting with senior government and industry leadership in formal and informal settings.
Self-directed and exceptionally detail-oriented, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and support evolving mission demands.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
