Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Secret Cleared Embedded Software Engineer to support a customer in the Baltimore, MD area. This person will be joining a team responsible for developing defense equipment used on military ships. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
1. Participate in daily scrum meetings and develop within an Agile environment.
2. Collaborate with other Engineers and Architects to develop technical specifications.
3. Reference previous software that was used on other programs to understand what can be re-used and what has to be re-written for new program requirements.
4. Develop code within C/C++ device drivers, middleware, and application development on Linux/VxWorks platforms.
5. Identify potential risks, support defect resolution, and enhance code to minimize vulnerabilities.
Compensation: $60-$87/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
