Overview
An established federal support organization is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams on small to large, complex initiatives. This role is responsible for managing projects from initial concept through final implementation, serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, and ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical project leadership, experience working within regulated environments, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and diverse stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities
Lead integrated project teams (IPTs) on multiple initiatives or significant segments of large, complex programs
Analyze new and complex project challenges and develop innovative solutions across finance, scheduling, technology, tools, and methodologies
Manage all phases of assigned projects from concept development through final implementation
Serve as the single point of contact for assigned projects, coordinating with end users, stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors
Develop and maintain project documentation including scope definitions, work plans, schedules, cost estimates, resource plans, and status reports
Generate acquisition and project documentation required for submission to contracting and governance offices
Conduct project meetings and provide ongoing project tracking, analysis, and reporting
Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables for accuracy and completeness
Manage vendor task integration and monitor vendor performance and deliverables
Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team members
Proactively identify risks and issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions as needed
Additional Duties
Prepare executive-level reports, briefings, and presentations for leadership audiences
Support engineering initiatives related to new service design, implementation, and operational integration
Act as a trusted advisor and technical sounding board to clients on active projects and portfolio-level strategy
Participate in product demonstrations and technical briefings as required
Coordinate and resolve incident and work order tickets, collaborating with multiple teams to address system or infrastructure issues
Utilize Microsoft Office tools to analyze data and produce professional reports and presentations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading or directly supervising technical project management, project integration, or telecommunications initiatives
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
Experience working with government acquisition processes; familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage senior leadership
Active TS/SCI clearance required
