Description:
Support the cybersecurity and information assurance activities of a program, system, organization, or enclave. Contribute to the development, coordination, implementation, and enforcement of information security policies, standards, and methodologies. Maintain the operational security posture of assigned information systems to ensure compliance with established security requirements. Assist in managing daily cybersecurity operations, evaluating security solutions, and conducting vulnerability and risk assessments. Provide configuration management support for security‑relevant software, hardware, and firmware, and help prepare key documentation required for security authorization in alignment with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), ODNI, and DoD guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior ISSOs in implementing and enforcing information system security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining cybersecurity documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs.
- Contribute to the evaluation of security tools and solutions to verify they meet requirements for processing classified information.
- Assist with Configuration Management (CM) of security‑related software, hardware, and firmware.
- Maintain system inventories and records for workstations, servers, firewalls, routers, network switches, intelligent hubs, and related infrastructure.
- Develop, update, and maintain documentation required for system security authorization in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies.
- Ensure systems remain compliant with established cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Support the ISSM in sustaining appropriate cybersecurity posture across systems, programs, and enclaves.
- Manage day‑to‑day security operations, including monitoring user identification and authentication mechanisms.
- Assist in obtaining security authorization for assigned information systems.
- Plan, coordinate, and help implement IT security programs, enhancements, and policy‑driven initiatives.
- Manage system changes and assess associated security impacts.
- Provide daily direction, coordination, and oversight to contractor ISSOs.
- Collaborate with customers, technical teams, and senior leadership to define and achieve cybersecurity objectives.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of combined experience in IT, cybersecurity, or security authorization.
- Experience in at least two of the following areas: modern security tools, hardware/software security integration, communication protocols, or encryption technologies.
- Familiarity with commercial security products, security authorization processes, security incident management, and PKI/authorization services.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, IT, Information Assurance, Computer Forensics, Mathematics).
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years of relevant work experience may be substituted.
