The mission supports operational flight test across F-35, F-22, F-16, and F-15 variants in a high-tempo environment (up to 14 instrumented sorties/day).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll support one-of-a-kind airborne instrumentation systems used for flight test and evaluation. Responsibilities include:
• Plan, develop, modify, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain aircraft instrumentation systems supporting unique T-2 modified configurations.
• Execute pre-, during-, and post-mission tasks: integration, mission configurations, functional checkouts, and mission data capture activities.
• Perform fault isolation and rework to restore instrumentation to mission-ready status under tight turn times.
• Operate and maintain instrumentation systems, including (but not limited to): QRIP, DART/eDART, RTAS, GLite TSPI (or like), Telemetry/Beacon, CRIIS, ADAP, ARIP, AARI pallet, FCR, HSDR, and related Group-A provisions (e.g., “orange wire” and telemetry antennas).
• Interpret technical data (not limited to): drawings, schematics, blueprints, specs, and system documentation.
• Use electronic test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, telemetry systems, PLA/PLC programmers, oscillators, amplifiers, power supplies, etc.
• Coordinate instrumentation requirements, schedules, and work plans between Operations and the Aircraft Maintenance Unit (AMU) to verify mission readiness.
• Support system handling/ops tasks: move/store/load equipment, cockpit integrity checks, data uploads/downloads, and configuration actions.
• Coordinate with operators/test support teams to plan/accomplish/analyze test results, ensure instrumentation compatibility with data reduction, and monitor data validity and operational dependability.
• When required, prepare instrumentation systems for shipment to designated repair facilities using Government-provided materials.
• Maintain clean, safe, orderly workspaces and comply with flightline safety/OPSEC and base access procedures.
• May be asked to augment additional flightline duties (as needed): airfield driving, QA augmentee, HAZMAT/HAZCOM, COMSEC CRO, initial/block training, etc.

• Level III: HS (or equiv) + 10+ years aircraft instrumentation systems experience
All Levels Must Have: electronics troubleshooting proficiency; ability to read technical documentation; comfort in a fast-paced flightline/test environment; willingness to travel up to 5x/year (CONUS/OCONUS) and hold a passport; ability to follow local base procedures in controlled/restricted areas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Fighter aircraft test/instrumentation experience (F-35/F-22/F-16/F-15)
• Telemetry/data acquisition/TSPI experience; recorder/pod/pallet instrumentation exposure
• Rapid-turn flight test tempo and mission readiness coordination experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• On-site at Nellis AFB (flightline / maintenance operations)
• Schedule aligns to test tempo; flexibility may be required
