Virtualization Engineer
Location: Washington, DC
Job Description:
Serve as a Virtualization Engineer
Install, configure, and support vSphere, NSX T/NSX V, vSAN, and related services
Manage block and file storage solutions (Dell/EMC preferred)
Perform LUN provisioning, file system administration, and data protection tasks
Configure and maintain top of rack (ToR) switches, VLANs, and NA IP routing
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for provisioning, patching, and compliance
Apply DISA STIGs and vendor specific hardening guides to both HW/SW components
Conduct regular vulnerability scans and remediation
Produce clear run books, change control records, and knowledge base articles
Partner with cross functional teams to resolve incidents and implement projects
Qualifications:
5+ years of virtualization engineering experience
Experience with the following:
vSphere, NSX T/NSX V, vSAN, and related services
Top of rack (ToR) switches, VLANs, and NA IP routing
Experience running STIGs
Experience with DellEMC VxRail and PowerFlex clusters (preferred)
Including capacity planning, health monitoring, and firmware upgrades
Active DoD Top-Secret Clearance
