Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior OT Cybersecurity Engineer / Architect to support highly sensitive Operational Technology (OT) environments within classified federal facilities. This role focuses on securing systems that monitor and control physical processes, where availability, reliability, and safety are mission-critical.
The ideal candidate has deep experience applying cybersecurity frameworks and Zero Trust principles to OT systems, with hands-on exposure to specialized OT security tooling and facilities-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Secure and architect Operational Technology (OT) environments supporting physical systems and facilities
• Apply NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and NIST SP 800-82 guidance to OT systems
• Design and implement OT-specific Zero Trust architectures, accounting for operational constraints
• Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats within OT networks
• Support secure integration and risk reduction between IT and OT environments
• Conduct OT security assessments, architecture reviews, and remediation planning
• Collaborate with government stakeholders, engineers, and facilities teams in classified settings
Required Experience & Skills
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, with a strong emphasis on OT / ICS security
• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (REQUIRED)
• Experience with one or more of the following:
◦ OT NIST Cybersecurity Framework
◦ NIST SP 800-82 (Guide to OT Security)
◦ OT Zero Trust
◦ Dragos
◦ Blastwave
◦ Facilities or building systems security
• Experience securing environments where uptime, safety, and physical operations are critical
• Comfortable operating in classified, mission-focused environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting federal, DoD, or intelligence community OT environments
• Background in critical infrastructure, facilities, or industrial systems
• Ability to translate cybersecurity policy and frameworks into practical, operational controls
