Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The Opportunity:
- Serve as a Training Specialist supporting enterprise-level training initiatives for DoD and Navy programs
- Act as a subject matter expert responsible for the design, development, and delivery of complex training solutions
- Provide expert consultation on training strategy, curriculum development, and workforce enablement
- Lead and influence training efforts that support system adoption, operational readiness, and mission success
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis to develop, revise, and maintain training courses aligned to NMMES and Navy requirements
- Design and prepare comprehensive training catalogs and curriculum roadmaps
- Develop all instructor materials, including course outlines, background materials, and training aids
- Develop all student materials such as course manuals, workbooks, handouts, certificates of completion, and course critique forms
- Deliver training through formal classroom instruction, workshops, seminars, and computer-based or computer-aided training
- Independently plan and execute complex training initiatives requiring extensive judgment and experience
- Provide consultation on complex training projects and serve as a senior specialist to program leadership
- Lead and direct the work of other trainers or training support staff as required
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to content, delivery methods, and instructional strategies
- Coordinate with functional, technical, and government stakeholders to ensure training aligns with system functionality and operational needs
- Ensure training materials comply with applicable DoD, Navy, and program standards and policies
Qualifications :
Required
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience in a related field
- Five (5) or more years of experience in training development, instructional design, or workforce education
- Demonstrated familiarity with advanced training concepts, practices, and procedures
- Proven ability to independently perform complex training development and delivery tasks
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience training diverse audiences
Desired
- Experience supporting DoD and/or Navy programs or enterprise systems
- Prior experience leading or mentoring trainers or instructional staff
- Experience developing instructor-led, virtual, and computer-based training solutions
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and training evaluation methodologies
- Experience supporting large-scale system implementations or enterprise change initiatives
