The Opportunity:

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the issuance of radiation health dosimetry.
- Conduct radiological surveys.
- Maintain records that ensure facilities and equipment comply with relevant portions of 10 CFR.
- Update training materials to meet current regulatory requirements.
- Perform surveillances of radiation activities.
- Maintain an inventory of calibrated radiation detection instruments.
- Perform inventories or radioactive sources.
- Review/ update operating and emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Undergraduate degree majoring in physics or engineering (mechanical, chemical
- 1-3yrs working experience as a physicist or engineer
- Ability to communicate and convey information effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
- Identify problems and provide necessary technical support to resolve issues.
- Experience organizing records, documents, and data.
Desired:
- Experience with radiological activities as either a researcher or regulator (preferred but not required)
