Roles & Responsibilities of Quality Engineer at Colorado Springs, CO
• Modernize and maintain a best-in-class software quality system that meets all customer and regulatory requirements.
• Interfacing with software engineering to define the software quality strategy for two business areas, including building out a roadmap for the next generation of software quality support.
• Champion continuous improvement to protect product integrity, meet cost and delivery targets, and ensure mission success.
• Act as the single point of contact for all site level quality matters, driving alignment across programs and with external customers.
This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.
Clearance: TS/SCI Clearance
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• BA of Computer Sci Software Engineering or similar
• Modernize and maintain a best-in-class software quality system that meets all customer and regulatory requirements.
• Interfacing with software engineering to define the software quality strategy for two business areas, including building out a roadmap for the next generation of software quality support.
• Champion continuous improvement to protect product integrity, meet cost and delivery targets, and ensure mission success.
• Act as the single point of contact for all site level quality matters, driving alignment across programs and with external customers.
• MS Office Suite
Preferred Skills:
• Six Sigma/Lean certification.
• Working knowledge of hardware quality engineering, electronic manufacturing, or embedded systems.
• Java, C++, YAML, JavaScript, C#, and Docker Compose/Container
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DevSecOps pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Quality Trend Analysis and previous RCCA experience
• Jira and Confluence (Atlassian full site) knowledge and experience
• Experience developing and reporting Quality KPI metrics
• Proven success deploying and managing quality frameworks
• Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, configuration management, and audit preparation.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and executive-level presentation ability.
Pay Range: $56 - $60/hr.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
