Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Radar Software Engineering Lead to drive the development and integration of advanced radar systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive radar domain expertise, a strong software engineering background, and the leadership skills necessary to guide a high-performing team. This role requires an active Secret clearance or higher.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead software design, development, testing, and integration efforts for radar systems.
Collaborate closely with radar system engineers, hardware teams, and systems engineering to ensure software meets mission requirements.
Mentor and manage a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices.
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, coding, verification, and deployment.
Develop and maintain software for real-time radar processing, signal processing algorithms, and radar system control.
Ensure software complies with applicable standards and security protocols.
Participate in requirements analysis, system design reviews, and technical decision-making processes.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software performance in both lab and field environments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum [X] years of experience in radar software development or radar signal processing.
Demonstrated experience leading software development teams in the defense or aerospace sector.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or similar.
Familiarity with real-time embedded systems and software for radar platforms.
Active Secret clearance or higher.
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FPGA or DSP integration for radar systems.
Familiarity with radar simulation, modeling, and verification tools.
Knowledge of radar waveform generation, tracking algorithms, or sensor fusion.
Experience with Agile software development processes.
