Description
acuCyber is hiring a mid level network engineer to support cyber and IT environments by designing, operating, and maintaining secure network infrastructure. The role manages NIPR/SIPR networks, tools, circuits, and business systems; ensures compliance with DoD/DON cybersecurity policies; and performs system administration, security monitoring, patching, access control, and backup/recovery. The position also supports RMF activities, develops accreditation artifacts, conducts vulnerability and forensic analysis, and provides reporting to strengthen network defense and architecture decisions.

Required Skills
- BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited or Certified Association Executive (CAE) designated institution OR minimum of 5 years' experience with technical proficiency in network infrastructure and security design and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in RMF security testing.
- Proficiency with automation tools to include but not limited to Python, Perl, or shell scripting languages.
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI Eligibility
Desired Skills
- Formal training or certification(s) in network engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Prior Navy Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) experience
