Responsibilities
- Monitor infrastructure systems, applications, and processes, identifying and resolving issues quickly.
- Respond to IT Help Desk calls and emails, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
- Troubleshoot and correct hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Use enterprise monitoring tools to proactively address alarms and delays.
- Manage information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs) and perform system security scans.
- Provide technical assistance for IT enhancements and system optimization projects.
- Maintain clear communication with users and teams, publishing outage statuses and updates.
- Create and maintain documentation to support incident resolution and process clarity.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of hands-on IT customer service experience.
- 5+ years supporting complex IT/software programs (e.g., network switches, routers, LANs, Windows/Linux OS, VMware).
Required Skills:
- Strong Linux OS experience: installation, updates, disk/file system management, network configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in analyzing and remediating IAVAs/CVEs and system security vulnerabilities.
- Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements and Windows Active Directory integration.
- Ability to travel up to 25% locally, with occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS degree in a technical field and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with security standards, enterprise domain services, and network security technologies.
- Familiarity with virtualization, scripting/automation, and Agile development environments.
