Software Engineering Services (SES) currently has an open requirement for a Theater Missile Warning SME. This position will provide primary support to the Theater Missile Warning Branch J311.
General: Located in a Government office (non-telework) Theater Missile Warning SME position supporting USSPACECOM/J31, Global Sensor Management Division. TS/SCI Required.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of Theater Missile Warning (TMW) experience within the Theater Event System
• Command staff experience at either a combatant command or other headquarters level
• Experience with end-user display systems (GCCS-J, PDS-M, TRS Dashboard)
• Ability to draft formal guidance, policy, and mission-type orders
• Familiarity with supporting restricted distribution events, limited distribution events, and events of special interest
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently on critical projects and update the customer, as required
• Knowledge of OPIR concepts and performance characteristics
• Ability to perform analysis on historical missile warning events
• Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; articulate complex issues; and maintain a good working relationship
Additional (Highly Desired) Qualifications
• 10+ years of TMW experience working with components of the Theater Event System
• Ability to interpret and apply IC products to the TMW mission
• Knowledge of the IBS communications architecture and operations
• Experience working crew operations at SBIRS MCS, JTAGS, or OBAC
• 5+ years of Combatant Command staff experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
