The Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) organization is currently hiring a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - StormBreaker Cross Product Team Lead

to join our Tucson, AZ location. The Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - StormBreaker Cross Product Team Lead

will work across the entire StormBreaker® portfolio of programs as a Systems Engineering Lead, contributing directly to the successful management of the scope, schedule, and cost associated with a multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities for this position includes managing system and subsystem requirements, providing Systems Engineering technical oversight during integration and test activities, participating in verification and validation efforts for the system, and providing Systems Engineering expertise in system architecture and design. The CPT Lead is responsible for leading and managing the Systems function across various StormBreaker program pillars, including Lot Integration and Test (LIT), Tech Refresh, F-35 Integration, Production, Modifications (MODS), and Miniature Air-Launched Decoy (MALD). This individual will serve as the Cross Product Team (CPT) Lead for cross-functional efforts, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams, suppliers, and customers to meet program objectives.

role requires a high level of technical proficiency in all aspects of the systems engineering lifecycle, project and team management, and the Raytheon earned value process. Additionally, the role requires establishing and maintaining relationships with the other Programs, Program leadership, and the customer community. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and suppliers. The candidate must excel in managing complex tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, ensuring the successful delivery of program outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Lead a cross-functional team of systems engineers and multidiscipline engineers
• Team management & leadership and project planning
• Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsible for quarterly Estimates at Complete, monthly WebStatus, IMS updates, LREs, and necessary variance narratives
• Lead Design Reviews and Raytheon Gates (PDR, SRR, FCA, etc)

• Management of system requirements through verification

• Develop, update, and manage Verification Plans and Reports

• Cross-functional collaboration and coordination

• Write Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) within the effort and support activities through Gate 4

• Coordinate with program leadership on long term strategy and planning

• Review and support trade studies, down-selects, and other analyses

• CDRL management, report development, and delivery

• Develop materials for customer meetings (Reviews, Technical Interface Meetings, status meetings, etc.) and brief customer representatives

• Coordinate Systems efforts across LIT, Tech Refresh, F-35 Integration, Production, MODS, SIP and MALD and with functional departments.
• Ensure Systems tasks are aligned with program goals and coordinated across teams and functions.
• Oversee Logistics, Safety, Reliability, Quality, Configuration Management (CM), Data Management (DM), System Security Engineering (SSE), Systems teams, and supplier activities.
• Complete Safe and Suitable documentation for StormBreaker integration on the F-35 platform.
• Analyze systems for nonconformances, identifying and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience in Systems Engineering, Architecture, and/or Design
• Experience working on a cross-functional team of Systems Engineers and multidiscipline engineers
• Experience working with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures and working with the DoD customer
• Experience as a Systems Engineering IPT leader
• Experience with program management tools including Control Account Management (CAM)

Qualifications We Prefer

• Post Graduate Degree in in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics and ten (10) years' engineering experience
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Logistics, Safety, Reliability, Quality, CM, DM, and SSE.
• Experience in managing FCA, VIS, PRR, and other program approval processes.
• Proficiency in analyzing systems for nonconformances and implementing corrective measures.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle as it relates to the Software Development life cycle
• Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Software and firmware architecture, design, development, integration, testing, and verification
• Interfacing with customers
• Developing & Refining CONOPS, System Architecture, System Requirement, and Requirements Verification Strategies & Plans
• Performing Functional & Physical Analyses and Allocation
• Creating & Maintaining Specifications
• Subassembly and System Integration & Verification
• Familiarity with StormBreaker program components (LIT, Tech Refresh, F-35 Integration, Production, MODS, and MALD).
• Experience in F-35 platform integration and requirements.
• Knowledge of supplier verification processes and production readiness activities.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
