Position Description : ThinkTek is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support a dynamic defense Pro gram Management Office . The ideal candidate will support systems engineering efforts, pro vide configuration management expertise , and stakeholder coordination to enable mission success. This role serves as the bridge between leadership, pro gram teams, and stakeholders ensuring alignment of strategy, engineering activities, communication, and pro ject milestones. Due to the required duties, this individual would be expected to support onsite in Quantico, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Documentation & Configuration Management
- Develop, maintain , and update engineering-related documentation ( e.g. systems engineering plan ) in accordance with established policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Maintain alignment with s ystems design and business objectives .
- Draft and maintain technical documents and pro vide knowledgeable input into required engineering deliverables.
Systems Engineering & Architecture
- Review, manage, and update system engineering architectures to ensure infrastructure supports the solution throughout its lifecycle (fielding, operations, and maintenance).
- Ensure requirements traceability through a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) or similar tools .
- Pro vide pro fessional technical advice and recommendations regarding computing environments and engineering activities.
Cloud Services Management
- Pro vide recommendations on best practices for cloud environment design (M icrosoft Azure) and operation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate and s upport systems engineering technical meetings by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in defining, developing, and maintaining engineering strategies, plans, and schedules.
- Facilitate coordination across engineering, operations, and pro gram management teams.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify system risk s early and suggest mitigation steps.
- L ead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions .
Required:
- Skills & Competencies:
- Must have experience in configuration management and technical baseline maintenance .
- Pro ficient in contributing specialized knowledge to operational .
- Pro ficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word , Visio ) .
- Strong analytical, pro blem-solving, and critical-thinking skills .
- Clearance:
- Minimum Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Education & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor 's degree ( in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical field ) .
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, ideally supporting federal or defense pro gram s.
Desired:
- E xperience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Familiarity with Marine Corps, DoD business pro cesses, policies, and/or IT systems.
- Personnel are also well-versed in DoD systems engineering policies and practices, including those outlined in the DoD 5000-series and applicable M arine C orps S ystems C ommand (MCSC) guidance.
- International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) or Certified Systems Engineering Pro fessional (CSEP) certification
