Position Summary
The Operational Readiness Specialist I supports Joint Task Force leadership by maintaining operational preparedness, managing key documentation, and ensuring the accuracy and accountability of essential records. This role enhances readiness across the Command by maintaining rosters, supporting leadership through administrative processes, and providing operational continuity across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Readiness
Manage and maintain alert and manning rosters.
Coordinate with staff and Command leadership to ensure maximum personnel readiness.
Identify and flag operational readiness gaps and propose corrective actions.
Document & Records Management
Maintain accountability of critical documents and records, including performance and recognition reports.
Perform document control, version tracking, and proper archival of Command documentation.
Ensure compliance with Command documentation standards and retention policies.
Administrative & Support Functions
Provide administrative and document management support to Joint Task Force leadership.
Support space and resource management across Command areas.
Coordinate requirements for supplies, including ordering, delivery, and distribution.
Prepare meeting materials, talking points, documents, and communications for Command-level engagements.
Provide communications and facilitation support during leadership meetings.
Operational Integration
Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance Command readiness.
Support the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to document control, readiness, and resource management.
Ensure consistent information flow and dissemination between leadership and staff.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
OR
Two (2) years of position‑specific relevant experience
Required Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time‑management abilities
Experience working in fast‑paced or operational environments
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications:
Word
Excel
PowerPoint
Outlook
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality
Attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in documentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
Familiarity with document control practices or military/DoD documentation standards (preferred but not required)
