RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Program Analyst (PA) position will be based out of Tampa. Strong communicator, fast learner, and thrive in a dynamic environment. Skilled in organizing, tracking, scheduling, and maintaining records and programs to support the J6 BAO. This is a demanding position that requires flexibility and change management skills to work as part of a team or independently on daily tasks and various programs.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide direct support to J6. Duties may include Executive calendar management and travel arrangements. Staffing/routing actions to high level contacts, short notice, high visibility taskers. Daily interactions with executive level leadership.
  • Utilize local web portals to track and organize programs supporting the J6 BAO.
  • Assist the J6 BAO and Staff in the administration efforts, SOCOM J6 training, TMT Taskers, maintenance, and tracking of policy implementation and compliance levels.
  • Provide effective communication, self-innovation, teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Quickly learn and integrate into the USSOCOM corporate culture.
  • Develop and implement manpower tracking and reporting tools. Maintain accurate personnel records and provide analysis when requested.

Additional duties may include:

  • Flexibly accept assignments supporting various aspects of the J6 BAO and work independently while seeking guidance as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to support all assigned tasks.
  • Assist with the development and review of policy administration documentation as requested.
  • Assist the Government in generating reports analyzing and assessing each department's performance achievements against the standards.
  • Assist the Government in preparing briefings and training documentation on operating procedures and requirements.
  • Create reports and data visualizations to make recommendations to leadership.
  • Monitor project schedule compliance levels, identify gaps, and potential issues.
  • Open issues tracking and follow up with issue owners.
  • Provide planning support for programs including scheduling, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
  • Gather and analyze information to develop regular program status reports.
  • Processes all travel and expense reports in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Processes incoming mail and organizes, routes, and distributes appropriately.
  • Collaborates with Travel Coordinator in travel preparations.
  • Organizes meetings and events, virtual or otherwise, and assists in planning and preparing agendas and meeting notes, as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in use of portals for document management.
  • Experience working in Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Motivated interest in managing programs, schedule implementation, and tracking timelines.
  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university (preferred), currently working on appropriate degree requirements in an accredited college or university will also be considered.
