This role is crucial for a highly skilled professional ready to assist the Team Lead in managing and innovating within the dynamic of electronic exploitation, while also mentoring and helping to train other deployers.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Team Lead in executing high-stakes overseas deployments, providing critical support to intelligence communities and warfighters.
- Conduct in-depth electronic analysis of sophisticated target devices, from intricate signaling to advanced modifications.
- Assist in developing and presenting comprehensive reports and briefings, highlighting characterization, vulnerabilities, and strategic exploitation recommendations.
- Collaborate with top-tier engineers and subject matter experts to tackle complex challenges and respond to RFIs with precision.
- Contribute to the adoption of cutting-edge technologies by researching emerging techniques and performing advanced laboratory-based analyses.
- Expertly capture, characterize, and identify RF receiver and transmitter modules, operating frequencies, and power metrics.
- Visually identify electronic components, conduct thorough research, and develop accurate schematics of electronics systems using advanced tools and techniques.
- Analyze, demodulate, and decode signals to extract actionable intelligence, and help develop standardized tools and techniques for common signal types.
- Perform electronic data recovery on a variety of devices using cutting-edge forensic tools such as XRY, Cellbrite, and Graykey.
- Author detailed and engaging technical reports on captured data.
- Maintain impeccable chain of custody and handle evidence with the utmost forensic integrity.
- Mentor and train junior deployers, sharing your extensive knowledge and experience to enhance team capabilities and ensure the highest standards of performance.
- Conduct training sessions on advanced techniques, tools, and best practices in electronic exploitation and forensics.
More About the Role:
- As a Senior EE Deployer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Team Lead within a forward, level two exploitation lab. Your expertise will drive the collection and exploitation of recovered electronic devices, providing critical support to DOW conventional, SOF, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) warfighters, along with various government organizations.
- This role requires a high degree of independence and the ability to excel in isolated work environments. You will coordinate with CONUS-based engineering staff, generate forensics reports, and respond to analytical requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining assigned equipment, providing mission support, conducting training, and deploying your capabilities in electrical forensics applications, tools, and systems.
- When not on deployment, you will engage in advanced training exercises supporting US and Partner forces. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with our top-tier technical forensic engineers, contributing your expertise to advanced level 3 exploitation projects. This hands-on experience will further hone your skills and prepare you for the demanding challenges in the field.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience OR associate degree and 12 years of experience OR High School diploma and 16 years of experience.
- Physical ability and commitment to global deployment for 6-month rotations.
- Extensive expertise in electronic schematic design and interpretation.
- Advanced proficiency in identifying electronic components and characterizing complex circuits.
- Mastery of laboratory benchtop equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Deep understanding of RF communications and standard RF measurements.
Desired:
- ABET accredited BSE in Electrical Engineering
- Familiarity with IED and/or UAS techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTP)
- Experience collaborating with military organizations, such as EOD units
- Background in CELLEX, DOMEX, and MEDEX forensics
- Hands-on experience with IED/UAS electronics
- Understanding of programming languages
