Applied Research Solutions has an exciting new opportunity for aSenior Systems Engineerposition supporting the Attack Systems Division, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. WID is part of the ISR/SOF Directorate (AFLCMC/WI), which is responsible for equipping our warfighters to win the fight. The Directorate executes a $22 billion acquisition portfolio, developing, producing, testing, modifying,fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms, and related sub-systems.
EPASS Program:(Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services) supports the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s ISR & SOF Directorate in equipping our warfighters with advanced intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and special operations capabilities.Candidates will help deliver responsive acquisition, sustainment, and modernization support for Air Force and allied missions worldwide.This is a full-time position located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB).

Responsibilities Include:
- Possess the advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered highly skilled in Engineering Management Support. Must work independently and be able to apply procedures
- Translate FMS user requirements into system requirements. These requirements will be used by the weapon system contractor to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment for deployment
- Assist in performing technical/mission analyses of operational requirements, assist in developing system concepts, and perform technological/trade-off study assessments of proposed designs
- Assist with the processes for drafting project documentation. This includes Statements of Objectives (SOOs), Statements of Work (SOWs), program plans, schedules, and presentations
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing technical proposals or modifications for cost, design feasibility, and system compatibility
- Provide rapid response engineering service and support as augmentation to organic resources. This includes in-depth problem identification, impact assessment, and development of corrective actions for critical supportability problems
- Assist in drafting regulatory and statutory documentation, including, but not limited to, the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) and life cycle management plan
- Assist in reviewing Contractor documents and data, and providing comments, as well as assisting test teams in developing test requirements and reviewing test plans
- Assist in supporting and conducting engineering performance, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, cost-performance, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical/schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade-off studies
- Assist in supporting the evaluation of Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Systems Engineering Detail Schedule (SEDS) engineering cost estimates
- Assist in evaluating systems test plans (such as systems test plans/test and evaluation master plans) and participate in conducting system, subsystem, and component testing
- Provide systems/subsystems integration support for the acquisition, development, and verification of systems and equipment.

Education and Years of Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD AND an ABET accredited Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
- OR an ABET accredited Bachelor’s Degree in engineering and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD
