Based on Company growth and requirements, this business-related position will support the Corporate Headquarters Contracts Organization.
Responsibilities
- Administer subcontracts from proposal through closeout for low to moderately complex subcontract actions under general supervision.
- Prepare bid packages and issue RFPs/RFQs/and RFIs and assist in proposal evaluations.
- Analyze subcontractor proposals for compliance with Government/customer, Prime Contract, and company requirements.
- Perform price and cost analysis and support, fact-finding and negotiations of pricing, terms and conditions, and delivery schedules.
- Draft, award, and administer subcontract agreements and subcontract modifications, including incorporation of applicable flow-down requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor performance related to quality, schedule, cost, and delivery, support issue resolution in coordination with program and technical teams.
- Review, reconcile, and approve subcontractor invoices for payment
- Maintain accurate and compliant subcontract files and documentation in accordance with company procedures and Government requirements.
- Generate subcontract-related reports, metrics, and contractual correspondence for program management and internal stakeholders.
- Support compliance with FAR/DFARS, public law requirements, import/export regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Program Management, Accounting, Human Resources, and IT.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance within the subcontracts function.
- Exercise sound judgment and apply established policies and procedures while escalating complex or high-risk issues as appropriate.
- Perform other subcontract-related duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in Business, Contracting, Procurement, Operations, or a related discipline
- Working knowledge of subcontract administration, including solicitation, evaluation, negotiation support, award, and closeout.
- Experience negotiating subcontract pricing, terms and conditions, and modifications under supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accurate, compliant documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
- Experience supporting government and/or commercial programs.
- Experience administering multiple subcontract types (e.g., Firm Fixed Price, T&M, Cost-Reimbursable).
- Experience working with both small and large subcontractors.
- Ability to work independently on routine subcontract actions while recognizing when to seek guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage risk, and drive issues to resolution.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits (e.g., DCAA)
- Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000/Year, DOE
