Volt is immediately hiring for Test Eng Technician –in Palm Bay, FL.
What are the main functions of this role?
Transport test equipment, fixtures, and cables to required testing locations.
Setup tests per written documentation and engineering direction.
Verify all test equipment is in calibration.
Verify all licensed test software is not expired.
Assemble custom or COTS equipment/fixtures.
Performs test and records required information.
Document failures and reports any anomalies to key stakeholders.
Executing automated software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs.
Troubleshooting failed assemblies with engineering oversight.
Operate RF and/or digital test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs and power supplies.
As an Test Eng Technician you will:
Test Engineering Technician who will support the manual and automated testing of space hardware. Testing may be performed at the circuit card, assembly, sub-system and/or space vehicle level.
Experience handling sensitive hardware, very strong computer skills and the ability to strictly adhere to documented procedures is a must. Prior experience with RF and/or digital technology is a must.
This is 6-12 months Full- time- contract with possible hire opportunity.
Clearance Needed: Active TS with SCI
Shift : 3rd shift, 7PM – 7 AM M - Th, flexibility for OT as requested for weekend support
Preferred skills:
Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Experience handling very sensitive and fragile hardware, including mating and de-mating high density and RF connections.
Experience with qualification testing, including vibration, thermal and thermal vacuum testing.
Willing to work overtime as requested.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Pay Range: $40.00 - $ 45.00 per hour.
