Worksite: Falls Church, VA or Fort Collins, CO (They will work onsite 5 days a week)
Contract Length: 1 Year with a start date of 2/1/2026
Pay: $50,000 - $60,000
Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident

Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for a Desktop Support Technician.

Desktop Support Technician Responsibilities:

• Provide support for users calling in for help on the use of applications, including login issues, setting up of user accounts, desktop support, hardware and software support, inventory and asset management support.
• Provide support for PIV configuration necessary for Multifactor Authentication (MFA), setting up of user accounts, and troubleshooting access issues.
• Maintain and resolve issues with desktop/laptop computers, hardware and software, peripherals, printers, local network, etc.
• Log and report each service request and problem report in a ticketing system.
• Assemble workstations, which includes connecting the computer to monitors, keyboards, and printers, and ensuring all physical connections are secure.

Desktop Support Technician Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing technical support.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving Tier 1 & 2 technical support issues.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing computer hardware and software issues for end-users, using tools like diagnostic software, screwdrivers, and pliers to install, upgrade, and maintain workstations.
• Lifting and moving: Required to lift or move objects up to 25-50 pounds, such as equipment shipments, printers, special diagnostic equipment, desktop computers, monitors, etc.
• Reaching and bending: Able to reach for items on high shelves, or bend, stoop, and crouch to access cables or equipment under desks.
