Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Communications Systems Control Specialist to support mission-critical Department of Defense communications infrastructure within a secure Technical Control Facility (TCF) or Network Operations environment. This role supports continuous, secure, and resilient voice and data communications in accordance with DoD, DISA, and service-specific operational standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in communications systems control, encryption device operations, and technical troubleshooting, with experience gained in military, government, or defense contractor environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain DoD communications systems within a Technical Control Facility (TCF), patch-and-test environment, or Network Operations Center
Perform circuit patching, testing, fault isolation, and service restoration for secure and non-secure voice and data services
Operate and maintain encryption devices, including device substitution, keying, re-keying, and accountability procedures
Ensure compliance with DISA Operational Circulars, DoD directives, and applicable security policies
Coordinate with DISA, service providers, and internal engineering teams to resolve outages and performance issues
Maintain accurate operational logs, configuration records, and system documentation
Support scheduled maintenance windows, system upgrades, and contingency or continuity-of-operations activities
Communicate effectively with government customers, leadership, and technical teams during normal operations and incident response
