Are you interested in joining a dynamic and growing professional organization? Raytheon is looking for an Agile Product Owner in our Arbitrary Agile Release Train Team. Our teams provide subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, software development, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensors to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance.

What You Will Do
  • The Arbitrary product owner (PO) role is responsible for the execution of a subset of Systems and Software Engineering scope for the AN/TPY-2 Programs. The PO is responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of the technical, cost and schedule for their team. This includes task planning to create milestones and schedules, tracking earned value and managing competing priorities. Typical activities executed by the Arbitrary teams include system performance gap analyses and trade studies, architecture definition, design, prototyping, software development, integration, and test and analysis for new or enhanced system capabilities. The successful candidate will be expected to build the team's abilities and be able to work with both internal and external customers. They will also be expected to support proposal efforts in support of new business and have knowledge of the financial status and planning for the team.
  • Capability/Feature Design for Arbitrary Waveform Generation.
  • Capability/Feature Design for Calibration/Diagnostics.
  • Requirements development and detailed design packages.
  • Prepare briefings for customer working groups and PDR/CDR presentations
  • Perform software development including requirement explanation, Q&A handling, and performance analysis of feature implementation to gauge whether the feature is complete and meetings design expectations.
  • Verify backlog readiness for planning and execution.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with requirements and agile development methodologies
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in software development using C, C++, or Ada
  • Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework
  • Prior experience with the AN/TPY-2 System and/or Missile Defense programs
  • Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of radar design and analysis, and systems engineering development
  • Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews, (particularly associated with SRR, PDR and CDR).
  • Proven experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
