Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Developer with hands-on AWS and Kubernetes experience to support critical infrastructure and data processing efforts for a federal client in the defense sector. This role is hybrid, requiring on-site support in Suitland, MD 1–2 days per week. The successful candidate will hold an active TS/SCI clearance and have experience in secure, scalable cloud application development and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS services.
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
Implement and support data analytics solutions using Amazon QuickSight and Amazon Redshift.
Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements using tools like Xacta.
Support RMF/ATO processes and participate in risk and compliance assessments.
Engage with technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI Clearance (Codeword: Foxtrot).
4+ years of AWS cloud development experience.
2+ years of Kubernetes container development.
Experience with Amazon QuickSight and Amazon Redshift.
Familiarity with Xacta and Risk Management Framework processes.
Ability to commute to Suitland, MD office 1–2 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RMF and obtaining ATO.
Background supporting Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) or other DoD/IC customers.
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Security, or ML Specialty).
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js).
Familiarity with RAG architectures, LLMs, and vector databases (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch).
Understanding of FAR/DFARS, NIST 800-53, and handling CUI or classified data.
Prior exposure to NAVSEA or submarine maintenance systems.
