Position Summary

ANSER is seeking a Security Administrative Specialist to support the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Office of Security and Counterintelligence (OS&CI). In this role you will provide administrative and operational security support to ensure compliance with NRO directives, Intelligence Community (IC) regulations, and Department of Defense (DoD) security policies. You will work closely with Program Security Officers (PSOs) and senior management to maintain personnel, physical, and information security integrity across the organization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support personnel in-processing and out-processing, including clearance verification, SCI eligibility validation, badge issuance, and visitor certification management.
  • Coordinate and track polygraph examinations, foreign travel reporting, and adverse reporting requirements.
  • Maintain, update, and quality-check security databases (e.g., TALON, DISS, Scattered Castles, AMHS, NMIS, and JWICS) to ensure accurate and timely data management.
  • Provide administrative support to OS&CI leadership and Program Security Officers, including correspondence, scheduling, and document control.
  • Maintain and archive security files, records, and reports, ensuring compliance with established procedures and retention requirements.
  • Process and manage visitor access requests, NSANet account actions, PKI certificates, and related system permissions.
  • Conduct and assist with security briefings and debriefings to ensure personnel awareness of applicable policies and compartmented program requirements.
  • Analyze and compile statistical and historical security data to generate routine and ad-hoc reports for leadership review.
  • Distribute and manage security-related materials, equipment, and documentation in accordance with NRO policy.
  • Coordinate and resolve security actions by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and compliance.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
  • Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in security administration or personnel security support (bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Prior experience supporting a NRO Program.
  • Knowledge of personnel security policies, adjudicative processes, and access control procedures.
  • Experience working with government security systems and databases, including DISS, Scattered Castles, TALON, AMHS, and similar tools.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IC and DoD security regulations, directives, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other standard office applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the NRO's Office of Security and Counterintelligence processes and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
  • Knowledge of SCI eligibility processes, adjudication standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in recordkeeping and data management.
