Software Test Engineer

Canonsburg, PA

Pay Estimated: $54.22-$66.89/Hour

Active Secret Clearance Required to Start

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute automated, manual, regression, and software testing strategies.
• Design, develop, and implement cost-effective procedures for testing and troubleshooting components, sub-assemblies, and full systems.
• Create and maintain test plans, test procedures, test case design, test reports, and requirements traceability.
• Perform system configuration and documentation, including loading and verifying software on multiple devices.
• Conduct formal system acceptance testing and document test outcomes.
• Present test strategies, plans, and results to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in failure investigation activities, perform analysis of test results, and document testing issues or anomalies.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary engineering teams within complex program environments.
• Support continuous process improvement by identifying and implementing productivity-enhancing solutions.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field and 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance (must be obtained within a reasonable period of time).
• Hands-on experience with automated, manual, regression, and software testing in engineering environments.
• Proficiency with DOORS, Jira, Matlab, and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong background in object-oriented programming, scripting languages, and system processes.
• Proven ability to lead or support testing in multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Skilled in requirements-based testing, traceability, and failure analysis techniques.
• On-site work may be required; travel requirements minimal unless otherwise specified.
