The Senior Manager, Supplier Requirements and Services will lead, direct and mentor the team responsible for the disposition and management of non-conforming material at Raytheon's third party logistic (3PL) partner GXO as well as act as the quality lead for supplier statement of work (SSOW) compliance and manage supplier corrective action report (SCAR) resolution. This position is an onsite position in Manchester, NH.

What You Will Do:

  • Management of the Raytheon Material Verification Engineering team
  • Manage disposition of nonconforming supplier material to accurately measure supplier performance by coordinating the activities of the Raytheon Material Verification Engineers
  • Support and coach the development and growth of the team
  • Daily collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, and the program management office
  • Ensures compliance of company policies and procedures
  • Workforce planning and forecasting
  • Employee hiring and training
  • Develop/implement corrective action plans to support inspection escapes
  • Issue, track, and approve Supplier Corrective Action Reports.
  • Disposition of non-conforming material, purges, and material in quality hold.
  • Ensures the full compliance of company policies, procedures, and the GXO SSOW.
  • Assist in development and execution of training documentation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience in a quality, technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience managing a small team of technical staff.
  • Experience identifying root cause and implementing effective short-term and long-term corrective actions.
  • Experience with commercial and/or aerospace / defense regulations and/or standards of a commercial equivalent with any of the following: - AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9000, ISO-9001, AS9145.
  • Experience working with SAP and / or PRISM (Raytheon Proprietary) to generate daily and weekly metrics.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team with representatives from Supply Chain, Operations, Program Quality and Manufacturing.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong management skills include the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating.
  • Supervisory experience in the aerospace/defense industry
  • Knowledge of Supplier Quality and receiving inspection
  • Certification in Six Sigma, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ)
  • Knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
  • Experience with cables and wiring harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, machined components, and/or circuit card assemblies.
  • GD&T Knowledge, understanding, and practical application.
  • Practical knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action processes
  • Practical knowledge of First Article Inspection and AS9102 management
  • Knowledge of General Statistical Process Control
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with customers or partners (both internal and external to Raytheon), including experience in an international / global setting
  • Communication skills that exhibit presence and influence
  • Self-managed technical contributor

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
