What you will be doing:
JASINT is seeking a Senior Foreign Humanitarian Assistance Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located at the USCENTCOM Headquarters, MacDill AFB, FL. The most qualified applicant will become part of the JASINT team supporting the USCENTCOM Foreign Humanitarian Assistance program. This position is in the CCJ3 Civil Affairs Operations Division FHA section, with a full range of strategic and operations planning, and technical support for the FHA program.

- Provide technical analysis and assessments for FHA programs and technologies.
- Provide research, critical analysis, assessments, operational planning support, exercise support, and interagency coordination to support the USCENTCOM FHA Program.
- Conduct research, coordination, and analysis to assist in the operational development, recommendations, and implementation of theater-level FHA plans as well as national level policy, supporting plans, directives, and supporting activities related to FHA.
- Provide technical analysis, research and subject matter expertise to the USCENTCOM FHA projects submitted for execution in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility.
- Research the potential use of new technologies and methodologies for future FHA implementation.
- Provide technical analysis, research and subject matter expertise in USCENTCOM staff procedures and authoring of executive level staff information papers, talking points and similar staff actions.
- Provide research, analytical, and technical expertise to USCENTCOM in providing effective, integrated guidance and direction to Headquarters and Components; assessing progress in achieving goals and objectives necessary to link the FHA Program to Security Cooperation Programs and higher USCENTCOM missions.
Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
- Must possess a minimum of 9 years of task related experience OR be a Retired/Reserve field grade officer with a Masters Degree related to the task with Senior Level Service School equivalent and Joint Professional Military Education Phase II.
- Must possess experience in foreign humanitarian assistance, foreign disaster relief and/or mine action programs
- Must possess experience working as an action officer in a strategic Command staff organization.
- Must have knowledge of military doctrine, planning and operational employment of forces - combat arms, combat support, and combat service support.
- Must possess a broad understanding of military command and control and force structure at the unified and specified level (joint commands) and the joint planning process and mission analysis.
- Must possess excellent communications and briefing skills.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Excel.
Education :
- Must possess an Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, Social Sciences, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) experience
