Position Overview
RogueThink is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to support a classified federal program providing operations, maintenance, and modernization support for a mission-critical enterprise web application environment. This role requires strong Linux systems administration expertise, deep Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system knowledge (including Oracle Siebel), and experience supporting complex client/server architectures in secure environments.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for application sustainment, performance optimization, ETL development, data migration, advanced reporting, and cybersecurity compliance in support of Sponsor mission operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide Tier 3 operations and maintenance (O&M) support for secure enterprise web applications.
• Implement application enhancements and workflow changes based on mission requirements.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability; develop recovery and resolution plans.
• Support cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance and system authorization activities.
• Prepare and maintain System Security Plan (SSP) and Body of Evidence (BoE) documentation.
• Track, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in legacy Java-based applications.
• Develop ETL services to integrate data from external systems.
• Design and implement data migration solutions for legacy system modernization.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, and D3.js.
• Maintain and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and stored functions.
• Administer Linux application and database environments.
• Use Sponsor-approved systems to track requirements and issue resolution.
• Provide direct customer (Tier 3) technical support.
Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI with FSP
• Demonstrated Linux systems administration capability in secure environments.
• Proven ability to support client/server-based enterprise applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Siebel CRM data architecture or comparable CRM platforms.
• Hands-on background developing complex database procedures, packages, triggers, and scripts.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining database environments.
• Knowledge of RMF, SSP, and Body of Evidence (BoE) cybersecurity documentation.
• Capability to design and implement ETL and data migration solutions.
• Ability to develop dashboards and reports using modern data visualization tools.
• History of providing Tier 2/3 customer support for technical applications.
• Familiarity with encryption protocols (OpenSSL, TLS) and cloud services.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior involvement with Sponsor A&A / RMF processes and secure federal environments.
• Hands-on use of Red Hat, CentOS, or Rocky Linux distributions.
• Background utilizing DevOps collaboration tools such as GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Exposure to developing RESTful web services.
• Familiarity with Spring, Spring Security, Hibernate, and Tomcat frameworks.
• Experience building or extending ServiceNow applications.
• Ability to track discrepancy reports and resolve application defects.
