ASRC Federal System Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Test Analyst to join our NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center team. With guidance from the Systems Engineering Manager, this position will collaborate with cross functional teams to develop plans, designs, procedures, and scripts to verify and validate software requirements for systems used for flight research efforts.
This role is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, near Palmdale/Lancaster, CA. As a part of this team, you will be required to work a 9/80 schedule with typical hours of 6:30am-4:00pm with occasional overtime (weekdays or weekends) to support mission flight operations.

Ability to pass a heavy equipment physical exam required to operate motorized equipment such as forklifts, bucket lifts and platform personnel lifts. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Work location is in a desert environment, and employees are in contact with various desert wildlife. Occasional travel is required.

Responsibilities:
- Test software programs to ensure they meet the NASA customer's requirements and ensure their successful integration into larger systems used across the Dryden Aeronautical Test Range (DATR).
- Communicate the findings of the test results to the development team, customer representative and engineering management.
- Assist hardware, systems engineers, and technicians in troubleshooting any anomalies; This may entail creating custom test tools aid personnel with their troubleshooting efforts.
- Write documentation in support of test development including, but not limited to: test plans, test procedures, descriptions and results.
- Document results of testing, while logging all defects identified in the approved test planning system.
- Provide technical guidance to users.
Requirements:
- High school diploma and 6 years of validation and verification experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of software development processes and systems integration
- and Windows operating system administration and telemetry concepts.
- Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

- Apply the principles and techniques of software and system test development to specific projects.
- Write and prepare a variety of technical and user-oriented reports, manuals, and other types of written communications.
- Effectively use project planning, writing and spreadsheet software programs such as Microsoft Project, WORD and Excel.
- Familiarity with working in an ISO compliant/certified environment.
