ASRC Federal System Solutions, an ASRC Federal subsidiary, is seeking an Electrician Technician II to join our NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center team. This position supports real-time aeronautics research and low earth orbiting space vehicles using radar and mobile tracking systems.
This role is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, near Palmdale/Lancaster, CA. As a part of this team, you will be required to work a 9/80 schedule with typical hours of 6:30am-4:00pm with occasional overtime (weekdays or weekends) to support mission flight operations.

Range environment with work at remote locations, prolonged sitting while using the computer and the telephone, constant use of sight abilities, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness. Ability to work extended and flexible hours including some nights and weekends. Ability to pass a heavy equipment physical exam required to operate motorized equipment such as forklifts, bucket lifts and platform personnel lifts. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Work location is in a desert environment, and employees are in contact with various desert wildlife. Occasional travel is required.

Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time and post-flight engineering and technical support for all supported radar tracking and mobile systems.
- Perform pre-mission setup of fixed tracking systems to meet specific mission or project requirements and in accordance with established procedures.
- Capture and archive real-time data.
- Provide preventative and corrective maintenance of all hardware systems supported
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology or a closely related field or completion of formal training in an accredited commercial or military electronics school and 3 years of related work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of configuration, operation, and integration of video/audio systems, cameras, VTRs, patch panels, and related equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector scopes, and TV signal generators.
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Maintain a valid Driver's License and possess a REAL ID
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Ability to effectively use desktop Microsoft applications such as Work, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service skills.
